A friend to NewTree Ranch, Suki recently lead us on an incredible kayaking excursion. Suki’s knowledge of the land is impressive, and her passion for sharing it with others was contagious. As we glided along the creek, she pointed out various plants and animals that call this area home, as well as sharing stories of her ancestry and the deep connection they have to the land. It was a humbling experience to be in the presence of such a wealth of knowledge, and added an extra layer of depth to our kayaking adventure.

But beyond the history and education, the sheer beauty of the area was breathtaking. The crystal-clear waters, vibrant foliage, and peaceful atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience. We stopped at various points along the way, taking in the beautiful scenery and enjoying the peace and quiet of the natural surroundings.
